The health, safety and well-being of our residents, employees and families is always a priority at Presbyterian Village North.  With the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the news and on the minds of many, we want to address actions, which are taking place related to this concern.

Regular updates and communication to those who live at PVN, their families and our teammates.

Evidence-based precautions that align with guidelines provided by the CDC and CMS.

Emergency preparedness and response measures are in place in the event that a virus impacts our community or the surrounding area.

Changes to our visitation guidelines for all employees, partners and guests.

As of Thursday night, March 12, 2020 Judge Clay Jenkins has announced a Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency in Dallas, Texas. As part of the declaration of the local health emergency, gatherings of 10 or more among high-risk populations are discouraged. This means we are now heightening our proactive measures as of today, March 13,2020 to include:

All commons areas will be closed.

All meetings or group communications will be cancelled and held electronically.

Any activity that brings people together will be cancelled.

We realize this may disrupt daily activity over the short-term and yet we believe it is the best precaution to take at this time because the health and safety of our residents and teammates is our top priority. We will continue to monitor this changing situation and update you as it evolves.

We are encouraging family and friends who do not reside on our campus to keep in touch through email, FaceTime and/or Skype.

We are closely monitoring local, state and federal health agencies to ensure we can respond quickly and effectively to protect our community and mitigate risks of an outbreak.

We will continue to remain vigilant in our efforts to preserve the health and safety of our community.
