What’s Cookin’ at PVN?

Presbyterian Village North’s (PVN) culinary team is one of the hardest-working and busiest groups on campus! Scroll through the photos below for a peek into some of their most recent events and creations.

KITCHEN TOURS

Residents attended a tour guided by Savannah Rogers, PVN’s Director of Culinary Services, behind-the-scenes of the entire dining experience. She walked the tour groups through the prep work required to ready the dining room and kitchen for a meal, the ordering process, how orders appear and are fulfilled in the kitchen and delivered to the table. Residents were also walked through the steps of post-dining clean-up so the entire process can begin again.

SPECIAL EVENTS

The PVN dining team consistently surprises and delights attendees of special events throughout the Forefront Living organization. The spreads pictured below were created for board member, Faithful Friends and Music Therapy events in the Marnie & Kern Wildenthal Education Center.

BRUNCH

Did you know that brunch became popular in the US in the 1930s? During this time, Hollywood stars making transcontinental train trips would stop in Chicago for late-morning meals. That Hollywood connection added to the glitz and glamour often associated with fancy brunches. PVN is all-aboard the brunch train providing festive and delicious selections most recently for Easter and Mother's Day. Feast your eyes on their offerings for these special occasions below.
