Mahjong and Mimosas Brings Fun and Connection to PVN

Presbyterian Village North recently hosted Mahjong and Mimosas, a relaxed and lively event introducing residents and their families to the game of mahjong.

A visiting expert brought boards, tiles and everything needed to play while walking guests through the basics. Some were learning for the first time while others enjoyed refreshing their skills, all in an easygoing and social setting.

With mimosas in hand and tiles clicking across the tables, the event sparked shared moments that made learning something new even more enjoyable.


Valentine’s Day

Residents in Presbyterian Village North’s (PVN) Assisted Living community spent the day making homemade Valentine’s cards, filling them with color, glitter and kind notes. Creativity filled the room, and each card carried a little extra love to brighten someone’s day.


Mardi Gras

Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Assisted Living came alive with the sights, sounds and spirit of Mardi Gras! Residents enjoyed festive decorations, danced to lively music and showed off colorful, fun outfits. It was fun to bring a little New Orleans flair right to PVN.


Ash Wednesday blessings

Residents at Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living gathered to observe Ash Wednesday with a meaningful service led by Rev. Elise Neal, Associate Director of Spiritual Life. Through prayer, reflection and the imposition of ashes, residents marked the beginning of the Lenten season together in a spirit of faith and fellowship.

Creativity was on full display at Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living as residents gathered with magazines, photographs and colorful paper to create expressive collages.

Each piece reflected a unique story … favorite places, treasured memories and personal dreams brought to life through color and texture. What began as simple scraps quickly became meaningful works of art, reminding us that creativity has no age limit.


PUPs Bring Joy with Ukulele Tunes

The Presbyterian Village North Ukulele Players (PUPs) delighted Assisted Living residents with an afternoon of music, sing-alongs and smiles. Their cheerful melodies brought joy, and a sense of community to all who listened.


Festive Tumblers and Irish Cheer

Green ribbons, shamrock stickers filled the room as PVN’s Assisted Living residents spent the afternoon decorating tumblers in festive St. Patrick’s Day style.

These one-of-a-kind creations will be filled with Irish Coffee and raised in a cheerful toast to friendship and a little Irish luck on St. Patrick’s Day.


Guardian Angel Magnets

Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North spent a creative afternoon making guardian angel magnets. Using colorful materials and a little imagination, each resident designed a unique angel to keep or share with someone special.

Residents at Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living took aim with Nerf guns to sharpen their dexterity and hand-eye coordination while having a blast.


Lucky Spirits at PVN

At Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Assisted Living, St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated with a little extra sparkle as residents gathered to enjoy Irish coffee, festive green treats and lively music. Friends raised their cups in celebration, proving once again that joy always in season at PVN!


PVN Residents Hop Into Easter Fun

Excitement is in the air at Presbyterian Village North as Assisted Living residents get ready for the annual Joyce Hall Easter Egg Hunt. Baskets are being fluffed, eggs are being decorated and everyone is looking forward to a day of springtime fun.

Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North enjoyed their annual Easter Egg Hunt over the weekend alongside families and teammates. With baskets, treats and plenty of smiles, it was a joyful way to celebrate the season together.


PVN Residents Make 500 Sandwiches

Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North joined forces to make 500 sandwiches for Our Calling, turning a simple idea into a meaningful act of service. Working side by side, they packed each sandwich with care, supporting neighbors in need across the Dallas community.


Residents Enjoy Spring at the Dallas Arboretum

Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living residents recently enjoyed a refreshing spring afternoon at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Surrounded by blooming flowers, gentle breezes and the sights and scents of the season, the outing offered a joyful chance to relax and take in the beauty of springtime in Texas.


PVN Foundation Brings Neighbors Together

The Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Foundation recently hosted a reception that brought Assisted Living residents and Independent Living volunteers together for a relaxed afternoon of conversation and celebration. It provided a chance to connect and simply enjoy each other’s company. Moments like these reflect the heart of the community and the relationships that make PVN feel like home.


Daisy the doodle Brings Smiles to Assisted Living

Daisy the doodle is a familiar and welcome visitor to Presbyterian Village North’s Assisted Living, making her regular rounds to spend time with residents. With a wagging tail and an easygoing presence, Daisy brings moments of comfort and plenty of smiles to those she meets.


Burnt S’mores Band Returns to PVN

Back by popular demand, the Burnt S’mores Band recently returned to entertain Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North (PVN). Their familiar sound and easygoing style quickly drew a crowd. Residents tapped along, sang a few favorites and enjoyed the lively atmosphere.


Art with Heart: PVN Residents Brighten Their Space

Creativity is on full display at Presbyterian Village North, where Assisted Living residents are turning everyday moments into works of art. These pieces are now proudly showcased throughout their shared spaces for all to enjoy.



Butterflies Bring Color and Creativity to PVN Assisted Living

Residents in Assisted Living at Presbyterian Village North added a colorful touch to their butterfly garden by coloring and embellishing handcrafted butterflies during a creative afternoon activity. The cheerful project will help brighten the space they enjoy together.
