Why our CCRC and nonprofit format matters

The fact that Presbyterian Village North is a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is no accident. In fact, it’s core to what we believe is the very best way to help seniors thrive for a lifetime.

As a CCRC, PVN offers a spectrum of care right here on our 66-acre campus. For residents, this means that as they enjoy our great independent living lifestyle for many years, they have the peace of mind of knowing that if higher levels of care are needed in the future, they can access them right here in the community, at predictable rates.

The nonprofit difference

A key aspect to offering the most vibrant, engaging independent living community possible is our nonprofit structure. What this means more than anything is that the focus of the entire community is on the community itself and the lives of the residents here. That’s it. We’re not here to drive profits to investors or outside ownership groups. Our entire focus is on making the lives of the residents at PVN better each and every day. This is our very focused mission.

This format also opens up opportunities for residents to have a strong voice in shaping what kind of community PVN is. From formal resident leadership committees to more informal feedback on community programming, dining options and more, PVN leadership values the voice of the residents here, and we’re always working to improve our services and amenities in ways that improve day-to-day life.
