Presbyterian Village North (PVN) resident Nancy Greer and her granddaughter, Libby, share a special bond filled with laughter, adventures and time spent together. It’s fair to say that Libby is well-known in the PVN community by residents and teammates alike.
The pair enjoys exploring the community’s nature trail, playing Mah Jongg and creating in the kitchen. Whether they are baking cookies or making Jell-O, Libby is always ready to lend a helping hand.
Libby’s journey with her family began when she was adopted from China at two and a half years old. Since her adoption, her family made it a priority to honor her Chinese heritage through annual family traditions, celebrating Chinese New Year and enjoying meals at local Chinese restaurants.
For Nancy, watching her granddaughter grow and share these moments with her is incredibly special.
“It’s a gift beyond any believable gift you can imagine,” shares Nancy as Libby holds on to her tightly and says, “I love my grandma.”
Libby has grown into a creative and curious young girl who loves art and animals, especially cats and dragonflies. She hopes to one day become a veterinarian or an artist and you can bet Nancy will be her number one cheerleader.
