Presbyterian Village North (PVN) residents, teammates and their family members visited the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum for an opportunity to reflect on Holocaust history and the importance of educating future generations. The group represented a variety of faiths and backgrounds, united by a shared desire to learn and support one another.
The visit was especially personal because PVN resident Marcia Behl serves as a docent at the museum. A former high school teacher, Marcia has dedicated much of her life to Holocaust education. During her teaching career, she established Holocaust studies at Jenks High School in Oklahoma and now continues sharing her knowledge and passion for helping others understand this important time in history and recognizing its relevance in today’s world.
“It’s very important for all ages to look at the history of the Holocaust, the rise in antisemitism and to share this information with their families and with children who are growing up in today’s world,” Marcia shared.
For PVN, experiences like this create opportunities for lifelong learning and building strong connections across the community.
