Last week Presbyterian Village North (PVN) resident Lucky Luckadoo spent an afternoon with filmmaker Austin Rich and Frank Allen, nephew of Captain Arthur Allen Jr., WWII bomber pilot, to provide commentary for a documentary created to honor the late soldier.
This opportunity was extended through a message from the filmmaker received by the Forefront Living communications team via Forefront’s Instagram page. The team vetted the proposition before presenting it to Lucky, who was more than happy to help tell the story. After several months of planning, the filmmaking duo flew to Dallas from Memphis, Tennessee to interview Lucky for inclusion in the film, Ramblings of a Bomber Pilot.
Ramblings of a Bomber Pilot has been filmed in various locations all over the world, wrapping with Lucky’s interview in the PVN Library. This special film focuses on Captain Allen, WWII pilot who served in the Atlantic theater and made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country. It is a story of bravery and steadfastness commissioned by the Allen family to honor and preserve the soldier’s story. The film will premiere in Memphis on July 26.
