What are you passionate about regarding your professional role?
I’m passionate about learning more about treatments available for those experiencing Alzheimer’s and dementia. Each day, I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of my residents.

What are some accomplishments that make you feel proud?
Recently, I became a certified Dementia Life Coach, a professional title that I am proud to hold. Additionally, I am continuing my education to earn my Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP) certification.

Tell us about your hobbies:
My main hobby includes coaching Ace, my 11-year-old granddaughter’s all-girl volleyball team made up of nine girls. I also enjoy following our local sports teams – mainly the Dallas Cowboys and the Mavericks. And like a true fan, I look forward to watching the Cowboys in the Super Bowl next year!

What are some of your favorite foods and restaurants?
Mexican food and Chinese food are what I enjoy the most. You can find me dining at my favorite spots including Mi Cocina and Pei Wei. I always enjoy sampling tacos while sipping on a delicious margarita!

Tell us a little more about your family:
My husband, Charles McDade, and I live in Carrollton, and we have been married for five years. I have two sons and two daughters, along with nine grandchildren who are my world! This sweet crew includes my older grandchildren Abby, a recent graduate from Stephen F. Austin University, Brendon, a student at University of Texas at Tyler, Kayla, a student at Kilgore College, as well as Emmalee (age 16), Laney (age 15), Alleigh (age 11), Adyson (age 9), Everlee (age 3) and Adorlee (age 2). My husband and I spent our second anniversary celebrating the birth of my eighth granddaughter!

How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as loyal. They can count on me to be there for them through good times and bad.

Lisa Englander, PVN’s Director of Resident Services, shared these kind words about Ronda, “Ronda is kind, loving and compassionate and has a true servant’s heart. Those around her feel fortunate to serve alongside such an awesome team player. Ronda is also a passionate advocate for resident rights. She recognizes when residents need something and has been known to go to the store for that item and pay for it out of her own pocket. She celebrates each of her special care patients’ birthdays with their favorite cake, cookies, ice cream and decorations. We are blessed that Ronda is a part of the PVN family.”
