The Spiritual Life team, led by Gary Fox, Director of Spiritual Life, and Elise Neal, Associate Director of Spiritual Life, brings warmth guidance and a deep commitment to supporting residents in every dimension of their lives.
The team’s desire to serve seniors has quickly unveiled a calling that goes beyond traditional church ministry. Working with older adults offers daily opportunities for inspiration through residents’ encouragement questions and support. The team emphasizes that caring for the spirit is an essential part of caring for the whole person. Spiritual care touches not only the spiritual but also the emotional intellectual and social aspects of life reflecting the five dimensions of healthy human development.
Supporting residents means honoring every faith tradition as well as those who do not identify with any faith. Every interaction is grounded in the principle that all residents deserve to feel loved and cared for. The Spiritual Life team helps residents find meaning purpose and peace during life transitions, offering guidance and companionship during challenging moments while encouraging reflection and hope.
Interfaith understanding is a cornerstone of life at PVN. The team hosts programs throughout the year that encourage learning connection and empathy across faith traditions. Understanding the beliefs and values of others creates space for trust compassion and respect and strengthens the entire community. Annual events such as Passover Seders, Hanukkah dinners and meditative labyrinths provide opportunities for residents from diverse backgrounds to share traditions and build meaningful connections.
