september assisted living activities

September has been a lovely month for residents in Assisted Living (AL) at Presbyterian Village North (PVN). From special celebrations to creative activities and time spent together, there’s been no shortage of meaningful moments. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights.

Stitched with Love

At Presbyterian Village North, small acts of kindness often leave the biggest mark. One beautiful example comes from the Sew-N-Sew group, a talented circle of Independent Living residents who put their hearts into every stitch.

Among their many thoughtful gestures, the group creates custom pillows for Assisted Living residents to celebrate their birthdays. Each pillow is carefully made, signed by the Sew-N-Sews and given as a personal keepsake.

These pillows are more than just fabric and thread. They remind residents that someone took the time to create something special. Assisted Living residents treasure them and often display them proudly in their rooms as tokens of friendship and love.

The joy shared between the Sew-N-Sew group and their neighbors shows what community is all about. It is caring for one another in ways that feel personal, meaningful and lasting.

National Macadamia Nut Day
At Presbyterian Village North, Assisted Living residents got creative in the kitchen celebrating National Macadamia Nut Day. The residents rolled up their sleeves and baked delicious cookies, enjoying the process as much as the treats themselves.

Laughter and conversation filled the room as they mixed, measured and shared tips. By the end, everyone had a batch of golden, nutty cookies to enjoy and share with friends.

It was a simple activity, but it brought smiles, tasty treats and a sense of accomplishment. Days like this remind everyone that a little creativity and a lot of heart make life sweeter.

Hitting the Mark at PVN

Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North took aim and had a blast during a recent target practice activity. Laughter and friendly competition filled the room as everyone tested their skills and cheered each other on.

It was a fun way to stay active, engaged and enjoy time with neighbors. Days like this show that even simple games can create big moments of joy.
