One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and serves as an important reminder to be diligent about getting a mammogram, as early detection can save lives. To recognize those who have personal experience with breast cancer, Presbyterian Village North celebrated a strong group of survivors, comprised of residents and teammates, at a special Pink Ribbon Breakfast. The breakfast provided an intimate opportunity for survivors to tell their powerful stories, recalling their diagnosis, treatment and recovery, while also sharing encouragement and hope.
