Presbyterian Village North (PVN) independent living and assisted living residents gathered to help the Forefront Living Foundation create 250 origami butterflies for the Each Moment Matters Luncheon.
The residents sipped wine as they received instructions on making the butterflies from the Foundation team. Those in attendance enjoyed the fellowship as they folded, tucked and molded the paper into the perfect shape. Each session attracted about 15 participants. Watch local news coverage here.
“It’s a lot of fun,” said PVN resident, Telva Gayle Wallace. “We’re actually learning how to make butterflies out of paper then attaching it to a clip so they can be used as décor.”
The butterflies generate funds for the Faith Caring Fund during the luncheon season as donors can purchase them to wear in support of the event.
“I’m happy to do this because the Each Moment Matters is meaningful to me and I’m so pleased Forefront Living is doing this,” said resident, David Lodwick.
