Chance’s Crew InsPIEres at PVN

On Tuesday, March 28, the hard-working crew from Chance’s Pie and Coffee Shop, managed and run by participants of Highland Park United Methodist Church’s (HPUMC) Belong Disability Ministry, made a special visit to the residents at Presbyterian Village North (PVN).

A room full of PVN residents were treated to hot coffee or lemonade and delicious pies and other homemade baked goods from attentive members of the pie shop team. After everyone was served, Michael, an enthusiastic Chance’s crew member, hosted a fun and lively game of Jeopardy for the PVN residents. Residents were equally charmed by the wonderfully kind staff and the delectable homemade treats offered by Chance’s.

Residents appreciated the opportunity to get to know this special group of young adults and solidified their new friendship by offering friendship bracelets (reading PVN ♥ Chances) and a bag of goodies, including trophies (reading You insPIEre us) to the crew.

PVN residents always enjoy being involved in the community through volunteerism and forging special relationships with groups such as Chance’s. They were especially delighted to make some sweet memories with this crew.
