Art has been part of Brenda Guyton’s story since she was in first grade and throughout her life, she’s never stopped creating. Now, as a resident at Presbyterian Village North (PVN), Brenda still expresses herself through unique works of art that inspire everyone around her.
Brenda’s favorite form of artistic expression is through painting. Her portrait collection features a variety of people and animals, including a special portrait she painted of her husband from his younger days and several of her daughter, who passed away from an illness when she was in her 20s.
Painting isn’t the only way Brenda lets her creativity shine. She also has a fascination with computer parts and artfully transforms them into imaginative sculptures and figures. One of her most remarkable creations is a life-size K9 dog complete with a food bowl, assembled entirely from computer parts.
Brenda’s imagination continues to make an impression on those around her, showing that the desire to create can remain a lifelong source of joy.
