the power of pink: a celebration of resilience

Fifteen resident breast cancer survivors and teammates at Presbyterian Village North (PVN) came together for the annual Pink Sisterhood Breakfast, a special gathering held in PVN’s Fountain Dining Room celebrating strength, resilience and the power of supporting one another.

“You’re never too young to have a mammogram and be sure to self-examine,” shares breast cancer survivor and PVN resident, Marcia Behl.

Every attendee wore pink to support breast cancer awareness and every table had a bag filled with pink party favors to show love to all the survivors.

A couple of survivors shared their personal journeys, including how they discovered they had breast cancer and why they believe annual mammograms are so important.

From the National Breast Cancer Foundation: 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime.

Breast cancer awareness brings women together to share their experiences, find support and encourage early detection.
