Mahjong and Mimosas Brings Fun and Connection to PVN

Presbyterian Village North recently hosted Mahjong and Mimosas, a relaxed and lively event introducing residents and their families to the game of mahjong.

A visiting expert brought boards, tiles and everything needed to play while walking guests through the basics. Some were learning for the first time while others enjoyed refreshing their skills, all in an easygoing and social setting.

With mimosas in hand and tiles clicking across the tables, the event sparked shared moments that made learning something new even more enjoyable.

Valentine’s Day

Residents in Presbyterian Village North’s (PVN) Assisted Living community spent the day making homemade Valentine’s cards, filling them with color, glitter and kind notes. Creativity filled the room, and each card carried a little extra love to brighten someone’s day.

Mardi Gras

Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Assisted Living came alive with the sights, sounds and spirit of Mardi Gras! Residents enjoyed festive decorations, danced to lively music and showed off colorful, fun outfits. It was fun to bring a little New Orleans flair right to PVN.

Ash Wednesday blessings

Residents at Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living gathered to observe Ash Wednesday with a meaningful service led by Rev. Elise Neal, Associate Director of Spiritual Life. Through prayer, reflection and the imposition of ashes, residents marked the beginning of the Lenten season together in a spirit of faith and fellowship.

Expressive collage

Creativity was on full display at Presbyterian Village North Assisted Living as residents gathered with magazines, photographs and colorful paper to create expressive collages.

Each piece reflected a unique story … favorite places, treasured memories and personal dreams brought to life through color and texture. What began as simple scraps quickly became meaningful works of art, reminding us that creativity has no age limit.

PUPs Bring Joy with Ukulele Tunes

The Presbyterian Village North Ukulele Players (PUPs) delighted Assisted Living residents with an afternoon of music, sing-alongs and smiles. Their cheerful melodies brought joy, and a sense of community to all who listened.

Festive Tumblers and Irish Cheer

Green ribbons, shamrock stickers filled the room as PVN’s Assisted Living residents spent the afternoon decorating tumblers in festive St. Patrick’s Day style.

These one-of-a-kind creations will be filled with Irish Coffee and raised in a cheerful toast to friendship and a little Irish luck on St. Patrick’s Day.

Guardian Angel Magnets

Assisted Living residents at Presbyterian Village North spent a creative afternoon making guardian angel magnets. Using colorful materials and a little imagination, each resident designed a unique angel to keep or share with someone special.
