Denise Odom

Director of Spiritual Life

Denise, PVN’s Director of Spiritual Life, brings more than 20 years of ministry experience and leadership to our PVN family. She has served PVN for more than 6 years in our Spiritual Care department.

Prior to joining PVN, Denise served in several churches as Pastor, and she served as the Executive Director for a nonprofit arts organization, a chaplain of both a hospital and a nonprofit, and even worked in advertising for many years before going into the ministry.

Denise holds a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Southwestern University. She received four units of Clinical Pastoral Education. She is a Positive Approach to Care Certified Consultant and Trainer (Dementia Care) and a Certified Assistant Living Manager.

“I have long loved working alongside seniors in all the places I have been. I enjoy helping build relationships and strengthening people’s faith. Our spiritual side needs to be nourished and strengthened just like our physical. That is one of many things I hope to provide here at PVN.”

When not at work, Denise enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family—her husband Andy and their two teenage girls.
