Lady Luck was in the house at Presbyterian Village North (PVN) on March 27, 2025, as residents stepped into a dazzling evening of cards, cocktails and camaraderie at the much-anticipated annual Casino Night! With an atmosphere buzzing like a high-stakes Vegas casino, more than 130 independent and assisted living residents gathered for a night of friendly competition and nonstop fun.
From the moment guests arrived, the excitement was palpable. The PVN auditorium was transformed into a gambler’s paradise, complete with Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold ‘Em tables. Cheers and laughter echoed through the room as residents placed their bets and tested their luck.
When asked what she would do with the money if she ever won a jackpot, resident Becky McAulay smiled as she said “Take my friends to dinner!” She continued sharing her goal for the night which was simply to: “Just be with friends. It’s fun to come down here and be with other residents, get unusual things to eat, so you know it’s just fun!“
As the night wound down residents walked away with not just fun memories but bragging rights until next year’s event. Whether they left the tables up or down, everyone agreed on one thing—it was an unforgettable night of fun, friendship and a little bit of friendly competition.
Casino Night at PVN isn’t just about the games—it’s about bringing the community together for an evening of joy, laughter and connection. And if this year was any indication, the house (of fun) always wins!
