On Monday, July 8, Presbyterian Village North (PVN) proudly launched its thirteenth annual Wellness University program in the McGowan Auditorium with a Summer Olympic theme. This year’s program planned and organized by the Wellness, Spiritual and Community Life teams offered an enriched approach to promoting health, well-being and community engagement for PVN residents. Each of the seven dimensions of wellness—spiritual, physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational and environmental—was represented by one of the five colors of the Olympic rings.
During the nine-week program, Wellness University immersed residents in a variety of activities, presentations and challenges designed to focus on each of the seven dimensions of wellness. Events such as brain teasers to stimulate cognitive function, food tastings to delight the senses and water events to promote physical health were just some of the highlights. Each activity was carefully designed to help residents remain active and engaged.

Throughout the program, residents were encouraged to participate in as many activities as they wished. Those who completed 20 or more activities were invited to the grand luncheon to be held today, marking the conclusion of this year’s program.
With this year’s Olympic-themed program, the 2024 Wellness University at Presbyterian Village North inspired residents to embrace wellness in all its dimensions. This celebration highlighted the importance of health, camaraderie and lifelong learning while continuing PVN’s commitment to enriching the lives of its residents.
