PVN and WCU Partner to Strengthen Healthcare Education

As August ushers many students back to school, teammates at Presbyterian Village North’s (PVN) Transitional Rehabilitation Center (TRC) are also gaining valuable education opportunities thanks to a partnership with West Coast University. Since April of 2023, PVN’s TRC has collaborated with WCU’s Richardson campus to host nursing student clinicals. Last week, Jimmy Gonzales, WCU’s Campus Associate Dean of Nursing, Clinical Academics, visited the PVN campus and presented a grant check in the amount of $2,500 to help support quality improvement and nursing education to TRC teammates. This is the second grant provided by the university since the partnership began.

“Our partnership with PVN exemplifies the power of collaboration, where academic excellence meets real-world expertise to improve patient care, inspire change and create lasting impact. WCU is grateful for this partnership, and we look forward to the continuous support we receive from the PVN administration and nursing staff.” – Jimmy Gonzales

WCU has been creating positive learning experiences for their students for more than 110 years, offering recognized accredited health care programs for all degree levels. The university offers technologically advanced facilities designed for students to gain the knowledge, experience and confidence needed to take on critical roles in today’s healthcare environments.

We greatly value our collaboration with local organizations and are proud to consider WCU a valued partner.
