During Nurses’ Week, May 6-12, Presbyterian Village North (PVN) celebrated their dedicated and compassionate nurses. This annual event honors the tireless care and commitment nurses provide to their patients every day. The week was filled with festive activities, showcasing appreciation for these vital teammates:
Monday: “Taco” ‘Bout Team (taco bar)
Tuesday: Sweet Treats
Wednesday: Subway Sandwich Spectacular – especially recognizing the nursing night shift with a variety of Subway sandwiches
Thursday: BBQ Luncheon
Saturday: Sensational Sandwiches
Sunday: “Muffin” To Do But Appreciate You
Following Nurses’ Week, Skilled Nursing Care Week was celebrated from May 12-18. This week highlighted the critical role skilled nursing plays in delivering compassionate care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Festivities included themed dress-up days, a Bahama Buck’s shaved ice truck and an exciting volleyball game between residents and teammates. We extend our deepest gratitude to each PVN nursing teammate for their dedication.
Tierra Palmer, PVN’s Director of Healthcare, had this to say about the festivities honoring her hard-working teammates, “We have the sweetest residents, and our nursing teams are dedicated to making sure we provide them with amazing care. Celebrating Nurses’ Week, followed by Skilled Nursing Week, was a great reminder to our teammates of our appreciation for them. It is easy to celebrate these deserving individuals.”
