Thriving in mind, body and soul
Wellness
We believe wellness goes way beyond just physical fitness—it’s about looking after your entire self. And striving for true, complete wellness really is the most important thing we can do for ourselves.
Get the blood pumping with a brisk morning walk or one of many fitness classes available to residents. Challenge your mind through our guest lecture program, our Chautauqua series of events, and off-site excursions to explore museums, galleries, and more. There’s always something fun happening at PVN.
- Work it out: More than 50 different weekly classes, from Tai Chi and yoga to line dancing, Zumba, balance and aerobic classes, and more.
- Our Get Fit program: 1-on-1 personal training that challenges your physical and mental limits. Can be designed to dovetail with physical rehab if needed.
- Stretching the mind: Explore something new with our off-site excursions, museum and gallery visits, and our celebrated Chautauqua series of events.
- Guest lecture program: This series brings in experts and professionals to talk about and teach subjects suggested by residents, from healthy living to overcoming vision or physical limitations to live your best life.
- Wellness University: A three-month semester of education and analysis where residents and staff share their passions and expertise, and host lectures and workshops on fitness, gardening, spirituality, genealogy, and so much more.
My why is to make a difference in the lives of our residents. It’s a calling for me, and I love what I do.

Jim & Bess Blanchette Lifestyle Fitness Center
Our beautiful fitness center was created with seniors in mind, offering everything from low-impact machines to a classroom for yoga and more, to a complete aquatic center for fitness and recreational time in the water. It’s an incredible resource and it’s one of the most popular features on campus.
PVN recently became the only senior living community in Texas to earn Healthy Senior Living certification from the American Heart Association. This certification recognizes our community’s commitment to a culture of health for all residents, as recognized by a professional evaluation by cardiac and geriatric experts.
Spiritual health
It’s every bit as important to look after our spiritual health as it is our physical and mental health. While every resident’s routines may vary, and we’re a community that is open to all faiths, this is a place where ongoing spiritual health and development are valued. Silent reflection and prayer, study and discussion of scripture, and participating in community worship and living your faith by loving and serving others—these are ideas that shape our community daily and help each of us live more fully.
