Investing in Growth: PVN Teammate Scholarships Help Turn Career Goals into Reality

At Presbyterian Village North (PVN), teammates are encouraged to reach their full potential, and the Curtis and Patricia Meadows Health Career Scholarship program is helping them do just that. Since its launch in February 2024, $50,116.73 has been awarded to 32 PVN teammates, giving them the opportunity to further their education and expand their expertise in their chosen fields.

These scholarships have already made a tangible impact, helping teammates earn certifications and take classes that enhance the quality of care and services at PVN. Recipients have pursued a wide range of professional development opportunities, including:

  • Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification – equipping caregivers with specialized skills to support residents living with dementia.
  • Lymphedema Certification – enhancing therapy services by providing advanced care for residents with lymphedema.
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) Certification – ensuring teammates can efficiently manage digital medical records to improve patient care.
  • Nursing School – supporting aspiring nurses as they advance their education and clinical expertise.
  • Administrator in Training (AIT) program – preparing future leaders in senior living administration.
  • National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) Conference – expanding knowledge and best practices in resident engagement and enrichment.

“The Curtis and Patricia Meadows Health Career Scholarship program is more than financial support—it’s an investment in the future of our teammates,” said Joni Watson, Director of Business Development. “By helping them achieve their educational and professional goals, we are strengthening our entire community.”

As more PVN teammates take advantage of this opportunity, the program’s impact continues to grow—one certification, one class and one career milestone at a time.
