Home Front Heroes Day

You may recall the festivities surrounding the inaugural Home Front Heroes Day event last year. A large group made up of teammates, residents, families and supporters filed into the Auditorium to participate in a very patriotic celebration spearheaded by WWII veteran, John “Lucky” Luckadoo and officially declared by the Mayor of the City of Dallas, as Home Front Heroes Day.

Although we’re unable to gather together in person this year, we hope you will join us in celebrating virtually! We’ve been hard at work compiling this video intended to be a virtual assembly of sorts. In it, Lucky explains the purpose of Home Front Heroes Day, some local Home Front Heroes share their stories, a WWII collector shows off some really cool Home Front Hero memorabilia and various participants discuss our modern day Home Front Heroes who are selflessly combating the COVID-19 virus. In addition to all of that, we’re thrilled to announce that U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, U.S. Representative Colin Allred, and Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem McGough have all joined in on Lucky’s mission to make Home Front Heroes a nationally recognized day!

With Home Front Heroes Day 2020, we’re kicking off our year-long mission to achieve Lucky’s goal of it going national! Stay tuned for updates on how you can get involved supporting this effort!
