Celebrating Connection and Community: Women’s Gatherings at PVN

During Women’s History Month, Presbyterian Village North (PVN) is taking time to celebrate the friendships, stories and shared experiences that bring women together. Throughout the year, several gatherings on campus are designed just for the ladies, creating space for conversation, learning and plenty of laughter.

One of the most popular traditions is Ladies Dinner Night, held every second Wednesday of the month. The evenings bring residents together for a special dinner created by Chef James, with a different menu featured each month. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming as women gather around the table to enjoy great food and even better company. For many residents, it has become a monthly highlight and a chance to catch up with friends.

Another growing favorite is the Ladies Lounge Series, which meets on the fourth Friday of each month. The series invites speakers to share their expertise and spark conversation on topics that matter to women. The first session featured Shannon Radford, PVN’s Director of Wellness, who kicked off the series with an engaging presentation. March’s gathering will welcome two practical dietitians who specialize in women’s bone health. Both speakers are also published authors and will share insights that support healthy living.

Throughout the year, PVN also celebrates the women who have shaped families and communities. A beloved tradition is the annual Mother’s Day tea party held in the Fountain Room. The event brings together mothers, daughters, granddaughters and friends for an afternoon of tea, treats and good vibes.

These gatherings may seem simple, but they create something powerful. They offer a place where women can share stories, learn something new and strengthen friendships. At PVN, it is clear that when women come together, the room fills with energy, encouragement and a sense of belonging.
