Rush to Wellness

With students heading back to school and college freshmen settling into campus life, including the excitement of sorority and fraternity rush, Presbyterian Village North (PVN) residents and teammates decided to hold a campus Greek Week of their own. Thirty participants in Wellness University (Wellness U) posed for composite-style photos, showing off their school spirit while celebrating their commitment to wellness and learning.

PVN’s Wellness U is a three-month summer semester of education and exploration where residents and teammates share their passions and expertise through lectures, classes and workshops. Now in its fifteenth year, the program offers something for everyone, with topics ranging from fitness and gardening to spirituality, genealogy and much more. This year’s Wellness U theme is America the Beautiful, Celebrating 250 Years.

As part of Greek Week, residents gave back to the community through a philanthropy event, curating sensory bags donated in support of autism awareness. PVN also hosted a chapter meeting that playfully mocks what a real sorority or fraternity chapter meeting might look like, adding another fun twist to the campus-inspired celebration.

This year, Wellness U introduced residents to a new class, 9D Breathwork. The experience combines conscious breathing with nine layers of scientifically structured audio designed to create an immersive wellness experience. The benefits include nervous system regulation and mental clarity.

PVN also expanded its wellness offerings with new tools including a meditation pod, hydro-massage chairs and a sauna pod.

Wellness University continues to give PVN residents opportunities to explore their interests while prioritizing overall well-being.
