THE Hottest Ticket In Town: PVN’s Executive Director Book Review Series

At Presbyterian Village North (PVN), the Executive Director Book Review series has become a much-loved tradition that blends curiosity, conversation and community. Led by Executive Director Dustin Allen, each session gives residents a chance to explore interesting topics while enjoying a relaxed and social atmosphere.

This month, Dustin was joined by a co-presenter, Lisa Englander, Director of Resident Services for the first time in his three-year stint. Together they guided residents through Oddly Informative Matters of Fact That Amaze and Delight, a lighthearted but fascinating look at unusual truths and surprising tidbits from history, science and culture. Dustin and Lisa took it a step further by turning their book review session into a game pitting each of the four sections of the McGowan Auditorium against each other as they weighed in on what they believed were the correct answers. Spoiler alert: my group had a strong showing, but did not win.

From eye-opening truths to fun and unexpected discoveries, the Executive Book Review series continues to bring the PVN community together in meaningful ways. Residents leave with new knowledge and the joy of connection as you’ll hear directly from them in this video.
