June has been a fun and lively month for residents in Assisted Living (AL) at Presbyterian Village North (PVN). From special celebrations to creative activities and time spent together, there’s been no shortage of meaningful moments. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights.
There’s nothing quite like the joy a furry friend can bring, and that’s exactly what residents PVN AL residents experience during pet therapy visits. Whether it’s a wagging tail or a gentle cuddle, these visits bring comfort, smiles and a welcome change of pace.
Residents look forward to spending time with the therapy animals, often reminiscing about pets they’ve loved in the past. It’s a simple yet powerful way to boost spirits and brighten the day—and it’s always a favorite on the activity calendar.

The gentlemen of PVN AL stepped out in style for a special Father’s Day lunch in the Reflections Dining Room. Dressed in their best, the men were treated to a festive meal surrounded by friends, laughter and appreciation.
It was a chance to celebrate the many roles they’ve played—as fathers, grandfathers and mentors—and to honor the wisdom and strength they bring to the community. The afternoon was filled with good food, great conversation and heartfelt moments that made it one to remember.

In the spirit of giving back, residents of PVN AL residents rolled up their sleeves and got to work baking sweet treats for a good cause. In preparation for The Longest Day bake sale, they mixed, stirred and decorated with care, knowing their efforts would support something close to many hearts.
The bake sale took place on the morning of The Longest Day of the year, Friday, June 20, 2025, in the front lobby of Joyce Hall. The sale raised $816 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. That oganization was generously able to match the donation x3, totaling a donation of $3,264!
Throughout the day, the AL residents participated in an Alzheimer’s Walk as well as a game of BINGO. It was a meaningful way for residents to take action and raise awareness in the fight against Alzheimer’s—all while sharing delicious homemade goodies with the community.
