Each year Medical City Hospital’s leadership performs a community service project. This year, they chose the seniors at Presbyterian Village North to gift 205 encouragement cards.
“The seniors are grateful that those in the community have them in their thoughts and prayers and we appreciate Medical City’s kind gestures,” said Joni Watson, director of healthcare operations.
Medical City said that due to COVID restrictions, it was difficult to determine a tangible way to serve the community. Since many individuals have been isolated from family and friends, the company decided to write notes of encouragement to the residents of PVN.
“We chose PVN because the community is one of our preferred providers and has been a great partner throughout the COVID pandemic,” said Clint Keel, director of case management.
Residents in assisted living and skilled nursing received cards to enjoy.
“Even though [the cards] are a small token of encouragement, we hope it provides each individual recipient a reminder that they are not alone and loved beyond measure,” said Keel.
