The 13th annual car show hosted by Lake Cities Misfits Car Club was held Oct. 17 at Huffines Subaru in Corinth, Texas. The event was originally scheduled for October 2 but was postponed due to the anticipation of inclement weather. Entry was free to the public and was designed to benefit Faith Presbyterian Hospice.
The show featured cars from every era, food trucks and family-friendly music playing throughout the venue. Each vehicle paid a $20 entry fee to display in the show and compete for custom-made trophies awarded to the winner of each of the four categories: best of an era, best of show, special awards or Faith’s pick.
The car show is hosted by Brad Soper, a member of the Lake Cities Misfits Car Club, as a way to give back after his father passed in hospice care. The showcase raised a total of $1,500 through entry fees and donations, for Faith Presbyterian Hospice which will support the Faith Caring Fund.
The Caring Fund provides charitable care, grief support, therapeutic massages, music therapy visits, Faithful Wishes and specialized clinical care in the Simmons Inpatient Center at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center.
