A hearty Presbyterian Village North welcome to Dane Cummins, new Director of Dining Services. The eldest of eight children, Dane was born and reared in Los Angeles. It was there he began his career in food services in the restaurant and catering business. Do you remember the very popular game show Hollywood Squares? Dane catered that show for several years, getting to know regulars like Vin-cent Price, Paul Lynde, and other stars. During this time he also tried his hand at interior decorating in Beverly Hills.

In 1979 Texas beckoned and Dane first settled in Ft. Worth, where he did a lot of tableside cooking at Tuscany’s restaurant. He was also assistant manager of the Stockyards Hotel and began his own corporate catering business serving companies such as Panasonic.

Dane began working in senior living settings about twenty-two years ago. His most recent venture in this field was thirteen years as director of dining services at Edgemere. While there he created new dining venues, developed menus, and trained other chefs and dining directors around the country.

Today Dane and his wife, Norma, live in Plano with their two children, fourteen-year-old son Christian and nine-year-old daughter Victoria. Although he would not divulge specific plans he has for PVN, you may be sure things will be under way soon, as Dane is no procrastinator.
