Updated CDC Guidelines – Assisted Living

Dear assisted living residents, families and teammates,

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has updated its mask policy related to COVID-19 in non-healthcare environments. We see this update as a positive sign that vaccination rates are increasing and active coronavirus rates are declining. In accordance with CDC published COVID-19 transmission rates and guidance for healthcare communities, we have been able to amend our mask policy in assisted living and healthcare.

Teammates and visitors to Presbyterian Village North’s (PVN) healthcare and assisted living areas, regardless of vaccination status, will continue to be screened for COVID-19 prior to entry into the community and must wear face coverings at all times while on campus. Additionally, visitors are to refrain from congregating in common areas. Effective immediately, face masks may be downgraded from wearing KN95 masks to surgical-grade face coverings.

The PVN team will continue to monitor COVID-19 trends and adjust policies as necessary. We appreciate your diligence and commitment to protecting the health and safety of other residents and teammates. Please contact pvninfo@forefrontliving.org with questions.

Sincerely,

Kim Cook
Corporate Director of Health Services
