“I’m thrilled!” says Anne Cottingham. “Very exciting!” says Rev. Brent Ashby. We’ve needed a chapel as a place for worship, prayer, study, and just a place to come in and sit quietly. It will stand tall on our campus as a visual reminder of our faith-based community.

Preston Hollow Presbyterians have raised approximately $800,000 to help fund the construction of a chapel on our campus as part of the PVN Master Plan, Phase One.
The PVN Foundation has agreed to grant an additional $500,000 toward the $1.3 million needed to complete the project.

The Monie chapel will be dedicated to the spiritual needs of residents at Presbyterian Village North and will be named The Rev. Blair and Cyndy Monie Chapel in recognition of their many years of faithful service to PVN. Dr. Monie has served on the Board of Presbyterian Communities and Services and has chaired the Caring Fund Committee of the PVN Foundation. Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church is honoring Blair upon his retirement after nineteen years as Pastor, and this gift toward a PVN chapel is part of the Church’s recognition and appreciation. Forty-one of our Village neighbors are members of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church.

We Villagers are grateful to contributors from Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and to the PVN Foundation for their generosity.
