Positive Resident and Teammate

Dear Residents, Families and Teammates,

Today we received confirmation through our two-step testing process that a resident and two teammates from the Transitional Rehab Center (TRC) have tested positive for COVID-19. The TRC teammates last worked on November 3. Please keep these individuals in your prayers as they begin their recovery.  In the meantime, the team at Forefront Living meets daily to monitor coronavirus cases in Dallas County. We closely monitor the external community’s positivity rate as it is an indicator of community spread.  Recently, the positivity rate in Dallas county increased from 9.7% to 10.6%. Because of the increase in positivity in the external community we are now required to test teammates who work in skilled nursing and assisted living twice weekly.

In addition to our two-step testing process, we have contact tracing protocols for each positive COVID-19 case. We will continue our commitment to testing our residents, teammates and all employees prior to beginning their first day of work.  We believe early detection is imperative to limiting our exposure to the virus.  We understand the increase in local cases is stressful and concerning to everyone. Please know that we will continue to place the health and well-being of residents and teammates as our top priority.

As we enter the winter months, remember COVID-19 symptoms can mimic those of a cold, flu or allergies, such as loss of taste or smell, cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath. If you feel ill err on the side of caution and please report your symptoms to a healthcare professional immediately. As always, for more information, please contact us at pvninfo@forefrontliving.org or 214-355-9019.

Sincerely,

Bryan Cooper
Executive Director
