Q: Describe your position with Forefront Living and how long have you been a part of the organization.
A: I’m the Director of Project Development, which means I’m responsible for all new construction developments. I recently celebrated my 6-year anniversary with Forefront Living.
Q: Do you have any experience with other senior living communities?
A: Yes, I’ve been working in this field for a while and have experience with several other retirement communities. What sets PVN apart is the beautiful 66-acre campus and all of the levels of living that are offered here. PVN is really built with family in mind.
Q: How does all of the construction at PVN tie into Forefront’s vision of the future?
A: Not only will we be able to serve more residents, but the construction will enhance the common areas such as dining and our outdoor living spaces. It really brings to light our vision of empowering individuals to thrive.
Q: What are some of the highlights of the changes coming to the Corrigan building?
A: There will be 3 brand new dining areas and a private dining room where residents can host parties and events. All of these areas will have a new lounge for cocktails and beverages before dinner. Also, there will be a newly renovated library, auditorium, game room, and spa area with two treatment rooms.
Q: How will the exterior spaces be enhanced?
A: Walking trails around The Hawthorne will have great views of the pond, water features, and stunning landscaping.
Q: How will the new gate house improve life at PVN?
A: Staff at the gate house utilize a cutting-edge visitor management system to check in employees, contractors and guests, giving residents great peace of mind about the community’s safety and security. Residents conveniently enter through a secure residents-only lane without waiting.
Q: What do you think future Hawthorne residents will enjoy most about the new building?
A: There are so many great features to enjoy. They will have secured underground parking, 8 open floor plans to choose from all with a private balcony, 1st and 5th-floor lounges that overlook the pond and a beautiful library. Of course, The Hawthorne also connects directly to the Corrigan building, providing convenient access no matter what mother nature throws your way outside.
Progress can really be seen on The Hawthorne as we continue framing the 2nd floor and will shortly install floor supports for level 3. Work will begin soon on the basement stairs and elevator shaft.
On The Corrigan building, wall tile installation continues in the Spa Café and we’ve begun painting the reception corridor and game rooms. Ceiling tiles in the second-floor classrooms are being installed this week and installation of the roof in the foyer will begin soon.
We are putting finishing touches on the gatehouse and will soon begin the paving work surrounding it.
See all the progress for yourself on our construction cam by visiting The Hawthorne VIP Section.
Your “Finishes” appointment is your opportunity to personalize your apartment home with your favorite colors and design style — at no cost to you. You will select flooring, lighting, back splash, countertops, and cabinets from a variety of options. You may also choose from upgraded selections and will be informed of those costs.
We welcome you to take a peek at your options prior to your appointment by previewing the model kitchen in the Information Center. And while you don’t need an appointment with Whitney or Kaily for your preview, you do need to check-in with Celeste ahead of time so that your name will be placed on the guest list at the gatehouse.
